Starting Salary: Starting salary is $47,659 (which is Bachelors Step 0) (Final compensation based on experience and degree).

We’re looking for an ELD Teacher who is passionate about language acquisition, student growth, and creating inclusive academic spaces where students thrive.

About the Role
As an ELD Teacher, you’ll provide targeted instruction to English Language Learners, helping them grow into confident, capable, and college-ready scholars. You’ll lead rigorous, culturally relevant lessons that support students in mastering both language and academic content. You will also serve as a vital bridge between families, teachers, and our multilingual learners, playing a key role in our Nashville Newcomer Academy.

Your Impact

Deliver dynamic lessons aligned to TN standards and STEM Prep benchmarks
Support fidelity of ILPs and monitor students' English language progress
Implement effective ELL accommodations across all subject areas
Engage in high-impact collaboration with colleagues, coaches, and families
Serve as a test administrator for the WIDA ACCESS assessment
Participate in ongoing PD and contribute to a school culture of reflection and growth
Foster academic excellence in a structured, student-centered classroom
Cultivate meaningful relationships with students and their families
Push innovation through inquiry-based language instruction
Help shape and strengthen the future of Nashville’s diverse learner community
