STEM Preparatory Academy is seeking experienced, mission-driven educators for the 2026–2027 school year. We are hiring across multiple high school content areas, including:
Advanced Placement (AP) & Honors Teachers

Math

What You’ll Do
High School Teachers at STEM Prep:
Instruction & Planning
Teach on an A/B block schedule with 90-minute class periods
Utilize school-adopted curricula and internalize units through structured planning
Submit weekly lesson plan arcs with exemplars
Analyze academic and behavior data to drive instruction
Facilitate intervention blocks using tools such as ➤ Lexia, Aleks, or other programs
Collaboration
Participate in weekly coaching
Attend biweekly department PLCs
Co-plan with team members and co-teachers
School Culture & Duties
Maintain an 8:00 AM–4:00 PM workday
Participate in morning arrival/dismissal duties
Serve weekly lunch duty on rotation
Attend Monday/Friday Staff Huddles
Join monthly family engagement events
Deliver Morning Mindfulness SEL lessons
Support Circle, Club Days, Walk & Talks, and student events
Student Relationships
Model school values and maintain consistent Tier 1 classroom management
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and families
Track and communicate behavior data using Kickboard
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to secure a Tennessee teaching permit (if not yet licensed)
Able to pass MNPS background check
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Active Tennessee teaching license aligned to subject area
Strong record of student growth and achievement
Experience working in diverse school communities
